Social Development
To generate demand for services and its quality, related to FNHW & Gender provided by different Government Dept. and agencies through convergent activities to maximise utilization of services (H&FW Dept, WCD&SW Dept.)
1. SBCC (Social Behaviour Change Communication) on Gender and FNHW (Food, Nutrition, Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) issues through meetings every month at SHG/Sangha level on one selected topic throughout the state.
Issues are:
- 1000 days of life
- Anaemia prevention in children, Adolescent girls and women
- Hygiene, Sanitation and safe drinking water
- Management of Diarrhoea
- Control and management of Vector Borne Diseases
- Menstrual Hygiene
- Girl child- Education , Economic empowerment
- Discrimination and Domestic Violence
- Prevention of Child Marriage and Human Trafficking in the background of Covid 19 pandemic
- COVID 19 Prevention, Care and Management

2. Representation of SHG members in various convergent platforms (4th Saturday meeting, VHSNC, Suswasthya Dibas (extended VHSND)
3. Special intervention on FNHW and Gender (pilot in 2 blocks)
Setting up of institutional mechanism for focused interventions such as:
- Capture the retention of message (through SBCC) and facilitation for change of behavior.
- Encouraging community based system for addressing social issues like Child Marriage, Domestic Violence etc.
- 1 or 2 locally identified issues planned to be addressed per year in focused manner
4. Sensitization on Rights (general activity for all districts)
- Women Land Literacy (WLL) training

Social Inclusion
Mobilization for inclusion in SHG for support in accessing the services for development and taking up of alternative livelihood
1. Persons with Disabilities
- General inclusion of PwD households in all blocks
- Special Intervention
Capturing member based intervention to facilitate accessing of entitlements (with support of Sightsavers) in selected blocks of 2 districts

- Inclusion of household vulnerable to Silicosis
Presently in 5 Districts (Birbhum, Purulia, Paschim Bardhaman, Jhargram, Bankura)
Vulnerability Reduction Fund
- 1st dose of VRF to all registered Sangha Samabay
- 2nd dose of VRF - all SS who has utilized at least 50% of1st dose of VRF and have been able to recover at least 50%.
